Visual Noise is a photographic exhibition launched by East Photographic and StudioSmall in collaboration with Hempstead May at the Protein gallery in Shoreditch, London.
The exhibition showcases work from Jess Bonham & set designer Anna Lomax, Leandro Farina, Linda Brownlee, Owen Silverwood and Ryan Lowry. Each Photographer was asked to explore the visually intangible and offer their own unique perspective on the brief. The ideas explored and imagery created to give an insight into the innumerable ways that we as humans interpret, react to and process sound.
We were contacted by our friends at East Photographic and asked to collaborate with each photographer to advise upon and translate each image into its print form.
Offering each photographer a bespoke service, we set about realising each image through a number of meetings, discussions and test prints. In usual HM practice, we offered the artists a selection of hand picked print stock, treating each selection of images uniquely. Once the images were finalised and prints created, our expert technicians discussed and offered their own thoughts on the mounting, framing and hanging of the artwork.
Needless to say, the exhibition looked outstanding and was a huge success.
Hempstead May would like to thank East Photographic, Rosie Wadey, Megan Tilley, Jess Bonham, Anna Lomax, Leandro Farina, Linda Brownlee, Owen Silverwood and Ryan Lowry.
